New Bleach!!
So I've been gone for a really long time. o___o For a variety of reasons.... But the newest Bleach chapter has excited me enough to say something!
It wasn't until this chapter that I realized how invested I am in Soul Society. The chapters revealing the truth behind Ichigo's heritage have been compelling in their own way, but seeing the shinigami again is what really does it for me. God, how I've missed these guys!!!
Sad to say, however, that Shuuhei is still borderline perverse in his copying of Muguruma-san. The kid suddenly got a new hairdo and it just so happens to be a fauxhawk like Kensei's. Okay Shuus. I guess old habits die hard. ;) I will concede that a few centuries' long obsession with someone has got to be hard to get over. I'm really hoping to see real development between these two, and for Shuuhei to start coming into his own. I want him to discover who he really is, instead of modeling himself after everyone else (Kensei, Tousen, etc). That being said, I am glad to see that he wasn't afraid to stand up to Kensei! Disillusioned as it may or may not be (all things considered), I think the important thing there was what it said for the potential future of their new relationship (and not so much what it said about Shuuhei's leftover feelings regarding Tousen).
Don't even ask me what I thought of Mashiro being ~SUPER~ vice-captain either, haha.
AAAAAAAND seeing shots of Iba right behind shots of Shuus (yissss 8D) reminds me fondly of when I shipped them. Oooooh those were the good ol' days.
But look! Sajin isn't, in fact, the only wolf roaming these here parts! (Although that elder wolf doesn't look like he's been doing alotta roaming...)
All in all, I gotsa feeling that says dis gon' be good.
