Captain Flowers ran this place, after all. There had to be something around here to drink if he knew his commander... but no luck. Simmons gave up and helped himself to a coffee, sitting down with a sigh and staring across the room. He could see what was going on through the doorway; not that it was really going to help much, he thought. Clearing his head rather than blurring it out?

She nearly walked right by the doorway that had most likely heralded the noise, but stopped and backed up a step, looking in at the soldier sitting down and holding the mug in his hand. Didn't look much like the cheery sort, but this was probably the best place to start now that she'd been seen.
"Excuse me," she spoke up politely- she was nothing if not polite. "Is there a commanding officer I would be able to speak to? Unless... you are one of the ranking officers for this base, of course?"
