A room of one's own

So today was pretty NON-productive overall. I had meant to start taking my books downstairs back to the den since the floor was finished 2 weeks ago but alas, they are still in the bedroom. Speaking of which, I am in a quandary. Nothing serious but I cant decide if I want to ( Read more... )

If it's too late to install radiant heat tubing in the floor,
yeah, that might be best.

Maybe a heating pad on the floor.
I'm thinking about that to keep my feet warm.

Seriously, you need a dedicated office space of your own to concentrate on your writing. Conversely, you're ruining your sleeping experience by having "work" in the bedroom, the bedroom should be a sanctuary where you can close the door on work and concentrate on relaxation.
Get a heat pad! Personally, I've been very tempted to buy one of those big mono slippers for my office room. I know people mock, but when I'm working (sat at a computer) one slipper is not a problem, and my feet become very painful if they get too cold. I'm tempted!

i think you're absolutely right. It really i shard to concentrate in the living room and i just wind up laying down in the bedroom lol.

I have about 3 pair of slippers but the room does get heated from the vents - it's just the floor that will be cold but i can easily take care of that.
