that's what life's for. Work at telus while enrolling at uofc and taking evening courses whenever you can, you have ten years to finish the degree, so you can poke away at it until you have all your electronics technician stuff, and you'll be making money while doing that, so you can slowly work at your debts, then take some time off to finish the degree, then work somewhere with your electronics stuff for a couple years to finish paying off your debt and save up a bit, move to ireland with your english degree, and teach english in a small town until you are financially confidant, and live out your days in your small irish town.

I do want to take one or two years and just live, pay all rent and utilities up front, and just exist without worry for a few years.
