The voice woke him up, but it was not as loud, not as sharp as the previous days. In fact it sounded like it was far away, or like he was underwater, he opened his eyes and surveyed the blur of colours and shapes that seemed to be his bare room and it wasn't until the announcement about the weather, which never seemed to change, that Suzaku remembered the night before, the pain and the fact that he was meant to be dead.

He sat up and looked round, he rubbed his eyes but even then it felt like there was something between his hands and face, it felt weird. Not right, in fact nothing seemed right, everything was less. The bluriness had not gone away, he couldn't here the small sounds he usually heard of people moving about ready for morning.

This all meant very little when he considered that he was meant to be dead. In a slight daze he stood and walked out of his room, off balance slightly. He squinted to try and see if any of the blurs were recognisable.
