EIGHTH DAY: July 4, 2011
At seven o'clock sharp, the intercom snaps on with the usual loud beep. And also as usual, the warden's voice kicks in. Too loud and very cheerful the entire message through.
"Good morning, little criminals! Today is July 4rd, a Monday. The current time is 7 AM. Today, the weather will be warm and partly cloudy."
"It's been one week since the grand opening of Deadman Wonderland! Are you all enjoying your stay? Those of you who were lucky enough to arrive on opening day should remember to eat that complimentary piece of candy we provided for you. It's no fun if you die this quickly!"
"Your second performance is today. If you're participating, make sure to be in the cafeteria by 2 PM sharp."
"Thank you, and have a wonderful day at Deadman Wonderland!"
The cell doors unlock, and slide back.
