Turns out I can rage on behalf of architecture

Yeah, the LJ writer's block thingy is somewhat relevant to my interests this time (Er, what would you build if you could build a monument to yourself or something), and some people inexplicably are igniting architectural righteous rage ( Read more... )

But high density housing means being surrounded by people! All the time!

(Says the girl who boarded for 6 years)

I have been gymming with Evan on Mondays and Thursdays, are you free those days?

I know! I don't think I would actually like it but I should promote it. :P

Unfortunately they are my two least-free days! :( Um! I was going to try gymming tomorrow morning from 9-ish to nearly 10-ish but I think I should go to the library instead. What time do you go normally?

Actually the BCA has huge and complicated regulations about sound-proofing in all buildings now. Which is good! But it's also confusing. It shouldn't be a problem in new buildings.

(I don't actually want high density housing for myself :P but I know that Perth needs it in general...)

Some people really overreact before they think through an idea properly. Give them hell. :)

Never give up your idea of house/building awesomeness!

...and, I have an article by Rosalind Krauss on 'Sculpture in the Expanded Field' that talks about the role of sculpture from monument to now that actually is relevant in an architectural sense (to me) ...if you're interested.

I will! One day, I want to tutor first year students. Purely for funzies.

I won't. One day I will have a massive stone house with a keep and if not a moat, at the very least a giant stone wall. Yeah. It'll be amazing.

That sounds interesting! I would like to read it, please!
