This will freak you out than...:
Here, in the netherlands, big bird is always blue and called pino...the rest of sesame street is exact the same as the rest of the worlds sesame street...

can you imagine how we freaked out as kids when we saw a not-dutch move with a yellow big bird in it...my kid is still freaking out when she sees a yellow big bird...lol

Fuck yea! I'm so glad you can relate. and that's pretty bad ass about them filming in next to your grandfathers. It's gotta be in the top 5 of best children's movies ever made. I still don't know if I could handle watching him sing "I'm just a blue bird" with his sad little head pressed up against the cage bars :(
