what makes someone a workaholic?, someone with that desire to achieve and the commitment t excellence. what sparked this thought was that we had to choose whether we wanted to do our e-portfolio this week. now me, i'm am very content to sit in the middle of the field when it comes to academia, i "get by". during year 12 i really didn't study that

andrew, after reading your post i really dont have an answer to your question. you posed many options and backed all of them up. i dont think (in many areas), that people have a reason for what they do. i think they just act spontaneously and i guess thats what makes us all unique. i dont think there really is an answer to your question but it certainly is something scary to know, that people dont really know why they do what they do!
