Okay I'm not sure quite what it is, but there's something majorly fucked up w/my clarinet...and it's pissing me off to no end. My lesson's instructor suggested the reed, but I have 8 reeds, and none of them even remotely work, so I know that this isn't the problem (it may be part of one, but not the main deal). There aren't any pads missing,

maybe you should get the clarinet checked out. There can sometimes be stuff wrong with your ligature which you wouldn't even see that would totally mess you up, and a ligature isn't even expensive to replace if that's the problem - and it will just keep annoying you, so yeah, I would go in with it :P

you know that was actually what I was thinking... because I was trying out a different type of ligature just to see if I wanted to buy another one, and my clarinet worked beautifully.. So that would totally make sense, because this has been getting progressivly worse--also my ligature is cheap :) Heh
