Hahaha - man oh man, who would of thought that Laffy Taffy would be in on this guilt trip? That's all I need - when I'm trying to stop thinking about how bad it is to smoke by getting fat, they remind me of BOTH habits at once! Dammit!

Actually there's this new campaign on campus to try to get us to quit smoking.. See I say those programs dont really work...because if you are going to quit smoking you are going to do it from your own voalition... not because they plaster little stickers on a piece of candy!

Statistics say that since they have to print huge "smoking kills", "smoking heavily damages those around you", "ask your doctor if you need help quitting" etc etc boxes on cigarette packsh here, sales have gone down quite a bit.
Oh, and just like political campaigns tend to focus on people without party affiliation who might vote for whatever candidate he last saw on TV, such campaigns likely mostly target casual smokers, people who might just be able to stop without any major effort.

those fucking "gravestones" on the lawn outside the UC with the big sign that said, "all these people DIED from SMOKING" PISSED ME OFF! it's exploitative crap. Oh, so if cigarettes killed all these people, I'm supposed to assume every one of them exercised for an hour every day, had a diet low is trans fat and red meat, high in fruits, vegetables and fiber? That they were perfectly healthy other than their smoking habit? It's as if they are saying, treating yourself like crap and having a sedentary lifestyle doesn't matter, that's all okay, but SMOKING IS BAD! GRRRAHHHH!!!!!

Yeah I am considering tearing them all up out of the ground, getting a banner and writing something like:

"In the 2 minutes that it took me to tear up this trash out of the ground I could have been smoking a cigarette, but I guess you sure showed me, huh?"

or

"Thanks for wasting paper to print out names of people I don't know, wasting glue by attaching them to wooden spikes, wasting time driving them into the grass when you could have been advocating something worthy....wait, did you vote for Bush...?"

or

"You know, I'm trying to quit, but every time I see your little display I think of smoking... good job dickhead"

I know!!! nothing makes me want a cigarette more than the commercials from the ironically named "truth." One joint has four times as many carcinogens as a cigarette? LIE. TOTAL LIE.
