I kinda wish that I had looked into tree planting for employment this summer.
Though, the downside of that job is that a) i'd miss my lovelies. and b) I'd probably die.

hmmm...if for some reason i cant find work, i might still look into it.
my parents would probably hate the idea though.

i wanted to plan a couple of summers ago and looked into it but i thought it would kill my body more then anything so decided against it. i'm glad i don't have to look for a job when school is done (although i guess i will have one!).

I've never done it, but a couple of my friends did the tree thing last summer... it's BRUTAL apparently.
There's also fruit picking and other similar seasonal jobs out west... they might be worth looking into.

Yeah, from what I've heard, tree planting is pretty tough work. Not only are you in pain most of the time, but apparently it's really discouraging. Most people go in thinking they're helping the environment, not realizing most of the trees being planted are for the purposes of being cut down again.

Not to discourage you from going. I've never been, so these are only third hand experiences. It's just something worth researching before you go :)
