[Someone's breathing hard in the feed, as if they just got the fright of their life. They're taking slow, regular breaths to calm down. In the background something bubbles softly, making noises. The hiss of steam is regular.]
... gosh. Wow. I led a pretty interesting life.
What now?
[A ruffling of pages as Al's breathing continues to calm down.]

[And it sounds hesitant, as if he's not sure that's the right name. But he's upstairs now.]

[He really doesn't mind that he's been forgotten. He's slightly more occupied by the fact that something could have been dangerous.]
You're not hurting yourself already, are you?

[He grins. He's still a little shy and nervous, but still kind.]
I just found out that before I lost my memories, I took precautions against this sort of thing, so I wouldn't be completely lost.
I haven't found everything yet, but... what I have found is useful.

[She's feeling alright at the moment. Not about to collapse but certainly not well enough to get out of bed.]

Yes. It looks like before I lost my memories, I took some precautions against it.
[He gently knocks on the doorway before coming in, sitting by her bedside and squeezing her hand. One of the cats follows him in, it's the tiger kitten.]
There's someone who isn't doing so well. Do you think you'll be all right if I left for a few hours? Ed'll be here.

[She hopes that this really is just an event and Alphonse hasn't really lost all his memories and that she really isn't on the verge of dying.]
[She smiles when Al comes into the room, followed by one of his cats. She seems to remember telling him he could only have one...but that changed quickly.]
It's fine Al, you don't need to be watching me at all times. I'll be fine.

He studies her carefully, keeping back the worry in his eyes. He doesn't like to fuss a whole lot, he knows she doesn't want him to worry.]
All right, if you're sure.
[After a moment, Al leans down on the bed to give her a gentle hug. He's given her a lot of them, it's like he's afraid of her disappearing.]

How...how are you doing, Al?
[Negi smiles, but he's still obviously pretty achy. There's quite a bit of bruising just under his shirt collar, too.]

I'm fine, just been exploring. Tea's almost ready, I'll bring it up. It's about time to change your bandages, okay?
I'll tell you more when I head up.

O-okay! I'll be waiting!

I can't make the tea as well as you, so I hope it's all right. I think it's a little strong...
[Al sets the tray down on the bedside table and hands Negi a teacup and saucer so he won't have to stretch. He's also been doing most of the cooking since his mother's sick. And... Al's cooking isn't really the best. It seems most of his cooking skills had been acquired in the last year. So everyone's having a LOT of sandwiches and macaroni and cheese. Have a sandwich, Negi.]
Uhm... well, I found some things I left myself. Daxter said I was the type to keep secrets, and boy was he ever right.
I wrote myself some letters in case I ever lost my memories like this... and I have journals I've written about the people I know, and suspicious people.
Some of it, I wonder how I ever slept at night.
