This is really interesting - thanks for sharing it!

I especially love the part about how he needs forgiveness and will never get it. And the lying to Tommy part - I wonder if that could have made a difference.

thanks, daria!

in the show, malcolm picked probably the worst time to try to tell tommy about that. i mean, he TRIED before then, to bring tommy in on his secret life. back in the episode where deadshot was after him. that sort of never worked out.

if he could have found the 'right' time, and he could have eased tommy into it, and he'd built up a relationship with tommy again.... and if he had told tommy about rebecca's death first, and left the rest out. and then later built that up with the quest for justice/revenge, and then explained the undertaking... not that tommy would have been all for it, but that would have gone more smoothly.

but right there, as everything is coming to a climax, and moira is going on tv telling everyone how malcolm is going to destroy the city... no. telling tommy that he'd been responsible for rebecca's death right then... tommy would have shot him, when he got that gun. :X

that was not a good time. :)

I agree - Tommy never would have agreed with the Undertaking but he might have been able to have a conversation with Malcolm and suggest that he didn't need to feel so guilty.
