A lazy Sunday evening

It's been a busy weekend in some respects, and I've also been continuing my reading. I bought a new book at the hobby shop: Living Greyhawk Gazetteer. It describes the World of Greyhawk, a detailed campaign world, with discussions of the various races, cultures, and historical background going back over 1,000 years. I'm trying to figure out how "actual" History is more real than Greyhawk. It might be more realistic but I take leave to doubt that everything happened the way They Say in the History books. Greyhawk is a shared constructed reality just like any other History, and so it's real in a mythic sense.

Agreed! Mythic reality is highly significant -- thanks for reminding me. John Barleycorn is another good example of this. Long live and die John Barleycorn!
