that picture shouldn't be first since its not even from the first two days but but but i like it so nyer.
ohkay so after a way too long plane trip with a stop over in Auckland, we waited outside a ship for two hours at 5 o'clock in the morning for Jess to come meet us because we weren't allowed on until 11am unless she gave us visitors passes. so we posed for a quick picture although dead, just because jess is apparently just as bubbly as ever that early in the morning, and still as completely photo obsessed as i remembered her to be.

after that Me and Debbie climbed into jess' bed and slept until we got hungry and ate and then after awhile people came and started attacking us. and by attacking i mean, wanting to see us and so jumping all over us type thing. Shan was first to attack us. he was like, humping my leg or something i don't recall but i was like "ahuahuahf get off me shannon.... ohmygod SHANNONNNNNN!!!!!!!!" and i was happy cause i missed that kid insane amounts.
Tahiti was somewhat disappointing for a first port. Papeete, the town that the airport and the ship were in, was like a rundown old city. It was beautiful if you looked deep enough but ugly in its dirty aged foreground of buildings. It looks a fair bit nicer in these photos i hope.

thats the port and the town itself.

and that is the pretty views on the other side.
after a day of meeting Jess' friends and her boyfriend, Raphael, who was awesomer than awesome, we headed out onto the land to have dinner. For some reason in Tahiti, Chinese food is big, and they had all these little caravans set up just outside the ship so we had that.

from left to right: Dan, Mum, Me, Debbie, Shannon, Cameron, and Jess.

Jess and Shannon are weird sometimes.... ohkay all the time.

Dan being a walrus...

Cameron was mighty cool.
So then we headed back to the ship and after a bit of dancing in the underpopulated "club" or "tahitian lounge" we went to sleep in our own rooms.

Day 2.
After a tour of the ship (check the pool below) we ventured off into the dirty town and looked through the markets and small shops. Some were kinda cool, but mostly they all had the same kind of things. Word to the wise; don't go to tahiti to shop, its a sunbaking/swimming/dancing-around-like-idiots place.

after that was sail-away, so we got back on the ship and went to the highest level (11) and watched and took photos and yeah, twas tres awesome-o.

the guy on the end is Raphael, Jess' boyfriend who lives in Switzerland/Paris/Brazil. He's mega cool and i love him to pieces.

woot for not being able to see my face

yeah thats hot.

how pretttttyful the sunset was indeed. and i'm a fantasticated photographer.
so anyway, after that i had to get used to the rocky seas (i'm not good at the sea-legs thing) but i danced a bit anyway before calling it a night and having the water rock me to sleep.
