I work at a Shell. It's open 24/7. But Puerto Rico has just hit rock bottom. The truckers have decided to just not work because they want more pay and aren't getting it. The reason that they aren't getting it is bacause we barely have to keep Puerto Rico's streets in shape. I don't like talking about politics, but the people up there ARE stealing ( Read more... )

I still say you all should move up here with me... *sigh* And then people are always shocked when I say that I don't want to go back to Puerto Rico. Things just keep getting worse and worse, don't they? :(

Isla del encanto, my ass. Isla del espanto is more like it.

It isn't Puerto Rico anymore, at least in the Rico part. I will move eventually. Hopefully when I finish my three years I have left.

I feel horrible when I hear news about things like this. I don't even think of my family, I think about you guys first. Always. It makes me so sad, because I want what's best for you but I can't provide it, sadly. =\

The college that I'm attending has an excellent arts program! And its pretty cheap too...

Found this journal through sheezy and saw puerto rico so I had to read.

but yea wow, that sucks. Ill be going back there in 3 days to visit relatives. The one thing I dont get is the whole metro thing with the guys over there. I was born there, then moved to the US, went back like every summer or spring break etc, but then the last few times I went all the guys look alot more like girls.

hopefully things pick up over there, I guess ill see whats changed this time in a few days.

ohh ok, now i know what you meant about how much it sucks. After being here for almost 2 weeks talking to relatives about all the strikes and stuff and yea. there were these huge lines all day at every gas station we passed, then that rumor about another strike and whatnot. there are some things ive always liked about puerto rico but other things i can live without.
