Mob Justice is finally off to print, so now we are moving on to the Cold City Companion. Malc has basically got the whole thing written so I am way behind in the art. Anyway, here is the first piece.

Im trying something new for the Companion, in that some of the art is going to be a combination of photos and the CG, hopefully as seamlessly as possible. Matching up light sources is proving to be a pain in the arse though!!!

It works. It took a while looking at it to realise the background was a photo.

Wow, whoever took the original photograph must be a very talented person with a great eye and skill at setting up just the right shot. After that, CG is just a piece of piss that anyone with a laptop can do. Yes, the real skill is in the photos.

You'll be hearing from my lawyers.

Cheers
Malc

Nice CG to photo integration there!

Something about the shadow cast on the left hand wall doesn't sit right though. I think it should maybe be lower given the angles...

Thats not CG, there really is a monster at Lathallan house! The camera never lies! Except for Malcs, it talks nonsense pretty much all the time.

Its very good and really well integrated. Shame about the awful photo though. ;)

Paul, would you be cool with me downloading this and messing about with some post work in Painter/PS? Not for anything serious of course. Just fancy messing about.

No problems Jon, go for your life, as they say in Summer Bay. Could you post the finished thing up on LJ, I'd love to see it.

Talk to you soon
