i also know someone in this program, who is loving it. they are aiming to get a job within the environmental ministry of ontario...(++ seneca isn't the only college that offers programs like that one)
also! why don't you join a non-profit charity (with environmental goals), and travel for a year? sort some things out, get a taste of life?
unfortunately, my program is sooo specific. i dont get any electives except for 2 throughout the course of the program and once i graduate it isnt useful for anything else besides fashion.
im thinking i want to explore a little more too. do some different things like you want to.
i'd finish the year. the worst thing to do is to pay and register & just leave. also if you find you want to get back into post-secondary it helps to have finished the first year.
i would advise taking time off after you finish the year. a lot of people will tell you that is a good idea if you find it's a break you need.
if i leave before the end of january, i get money back from the 2nd semester. Around $1000. I still will keep my credits from my 1st semester to use later if necessary. i just feel that if this degree wont be useful to me later, why should i continue and spend more money?
