These ads are examples of the Market Penetration Strategy, since market penetration is all about promoting existing products to existing markets. As always, Nike successfully tapped their very athletic market through deep human understanding and empowerment.

I consider this ad to be within the market development strategy simply because this ad definitely wasn't made in in the usual voice of a Nike commercial. Subsequently, this will attract a whole new different market from the existing one. The good thing about this ad though, is that even though it was made with a different tone, it is still within the vision of Nike which is to understand human behavior and instinct by saying in the end that you don't just use Nike for sport but also for you to live longer, to be able to run faster from a potential murderer.
