Thanks. It's so weird. I think it's MUCH worse for this to happen to a vegetarian.

I'm feeling better, but driving home was REALLY hard.

I kind of understand how you feel. Once, I hit a bird with my windshield while driving on a country highway. I thought I was going to puke. The sound will never leave my memory.

Ugh. Luckily there wasn't much sound.....just the hallucinations afterward that shit was flying in front of the car.

Oh that sucks. :/ Being from Michigan... well I've seen many roadkill deer in my lifetime... but have never hit one (knocks wood).

If the deer lept off, you may not have killed it. Doesn't sound like a ton of damage to the car, so the deer might be ok too. They can collide with a car (which is really what happened you didn't -intentionally- hit it!), bleed and still live.

Sorry to hear of your trauma. I hope the rest of your vacation goes well!

Ben was suprised too. He has lived in northern and central Minnesota and never hit a deer ever.
It's really scary the amount of large dead animals on the sides of the roads between here and Minnesota. I love Oregon. Not many bugs so not much else either.

I'm so sorry, honey. I used to worry about this all the time, driving in East Texas.

It's pretty freaky. Ben kept trying to console me telling me that the chances of hitting another one any time soon were slim to none, but for some reason that didn't prevent me from jumping everytime I saw something reflective on the side of the road!
