Viva Las Vegas pt. 2

After playing around in the Circus Cirucs casino and resting up for a couple days we finally went out to go see some sites. I knew it was hot but didn't expect how hot it would feel to me since I'm used to the humid heat and not the dry heat. All week it was in the mid 90s then jumped up to the 100s the last days we were there. We made the mistake of walking up the strip and it really kicked my ass, but saw some good sites. Another day we took the bus up but by the time you get done walking around the casinos to get to the sites your beat because the casinos are so freaking huge. The city was surprisingly extremely dirty though, so that was disappointing. They don't have deposits on any of their bottles so there is garbage all over the sidewalks. We did find lots of pennies and nickles abandoned on the sidewalk too.

We walked past the Riviera

Saw the boats at Treasure Island, also walked around inside of it they had some awesome motorcycles up for winning. We caught the free show on another day. It's called "Call of the Sirens", and it's a great show.

Met some nice drunk Canadians while waiting for the show to start, we took eachother's pictures. And they recommended we visit Montreal

The Monte Carlo had a free spin wheel set up outside. We both won free $10 in play, ended up not using it though so left it in the hotel room.

We stopped at New York, New York for lunch. There was a good chinese restaraunt there. I was disappointed in the lack of chinese buffets in Vegas, so this was the next best thing. If anyone goes there, I highly recommend Chin Chin's

Ceasars palace was very nice, a lot of nice sculptures and fountains. We speed walked through it to find their free show, which was an animatronic fountain talking about the Fall of the Gods.

Then we peaked in The Excalibur. There was a free train that goes between Excalibur, Luxor, and Mandalay Bay.

At the Luxor we saw the Bodies Exhibit, that was really facisnating. Couldn't take any pictures of it though :(

At Mandalay Bay we went to the Aquarium, it was shorter than I thought but it was nice.

Komono Dragon

Octopus hanging out on the glass

Manta rays

Jelly fish, they were hard to get a clear picture of

Giant fish are larger than they appear

We went across the street to the MGM Grand to see the lion habitat, but they were all sleeping

Here is the lobby of the MGM where Tupac had a fight that possibly lead to his death

and here is the outside giant lion

These were inside when we walking in, giant rock'em sock'em robots
