What is Hotlinking and why is it bad? (Taken from icondesign)
Hotlinking is another term for "Bandwidth Theft". Bandwidth (as quoted from here) 'refers to the amount of data transferred from a website to a user's computer. When you view a webpage, you are using that site's data transfer to display the files. Since web hosts charge based on the amount of data transferred, bandwidth is an issue. If a site is over it's monthly bandwidth, it's billed for the extra data or taken offline.

A simple analogy for bandwidth theft: Imagine a random stranger plugging into your electrical outlets, using your electricity without your consent, and you paying for it."

so when you see "photobucket bandwidth exceeded" it means people hotlinked. its bad because it causes icon makers great agony and we start hating you. which is never good. YOU CAN PREVENT HOTLINKING BY.... uploading images to your own photobucket account and then to livejournal, ooor saving ethe images to your computer and uploading them from there. as long as you are not directlinking (hotlinking) we icon makers are happy.

I commented on a post you made but you didn't asnwer me.
I used to comment on every comment given, whether it was I took some thanks, or they rock, good job! I love getting comments, but its also a pain to flood people's comments with a thanks to their comment of they rock. I recieve and read every comment and love getting all of them. But I know it gets annoying if someone comments to say thanks when you said took 7 thanks, kind of thing. Hope that all makes sense!

Can I edit one of your icons?
No, no, and no. This is not aloud, unless given special permission which you have to ask for!! If you want something customized I will if i have time.

Why have I been banned from your community?
This would be because you broke the rules. I'm starting to enforce the rules more and will be checking for correct crediting and commenting, also hotlinking or editing can get you banned without a warning. Well you will get one but it will be after you are banned unless i see that it was an honest mistake!
