Background:
Wiki Link!Personality: Marluxia practically oozes charisma. He is shown being able to manipulate others rather well-whether the unfortunate victim is with or without a heart. He shows this quite well when it comes to Vexen and Sora. The former he manages to talk into walking to his own slaughter, the latter he lures to Castle Oblivion and then draws him deeper with words.
He is slow to anger, and only does so when his plans fall apart completely-such as when he is nearing defeat in the final two battles. Otherwise, he is calm as if he is still in control of any situation. His calmness is what allows him to freely manipulate others without losing control of them. After all, losing one’s temper leads to mistakes, and mistakes are not to be tolerated in the Organization.
He comes across as very arrogant or even vain. He appears with flower petals falling down, and seems to believe he doesn’t deserve the lowly rank of Number 11. He seeks to be in charge. He seems almost obsessed with his superiority, in fact, and often reminds others of this. He is proud of his title of Lord of Castle Oblivion, and doesn’t seem to want to relinquish it.
He speaks in a nearly monotone voice, showing that he doesn’t often pretend to have emotion. While he does smirk or laugh at times, he’s level and rarely has an expression save for the occasional smugness he tends to hold. He doesn’t flinch when Larxene dies and Axel betrays him, instead viewing them both as minor setbacks.
However, he isn’t without his more positive traits. For instance, he perseveres despite all the setbacks in his plan. He also shows to be completely devoted to his task, not once giving up on taking over the Organization.
Marluxia has a very low view of others. They are tools to be used, and once they cease to be useful, they are disposed of. This is evident in how he cares little for even his partner in crime, Larxene, who he has been revealed to have previously known before the Organization thanks to the novels. It’s also revealed through his interactions with Roxas in Days, where he and Larxene idly comments that it’s a shame he couldn’t be more useful as he is.
Abilities: As a Nobody, Marluxia has access to corridors of darkness. That is, he can open one and travel to just about anywhere. Marluxia also has a strong affinity with plants. In the sense of, well, controlling them. In-game, he’s shown to throw around razor-sharp petals that can cut through skin as well as summon storms of them. He has also been shown to make clones of himself-made of petals, naturally. He’s also been shown to use his upper body strength combined with his scythe to create shockwaves. He can also levitate and teleport freely as well as, in desperation and probably at a high cost of energy, cast Doom. In other words: Marluxia is one badass final boss, and this isn’t even mentioning the alternate forms he takes in-game.
Sample Entry: [Marluxia flops into his chair, rubbing at his temples. A long day's work is over, and though he should be used to it by now, he's--unfortunately--aching. He's not suited for this, especially the lack of corridors of darkness to get around. Ah, well, one should make the best of situations, even one such as this. Such is life, after all. Finally, he takes up the phone--a nice message to all save those running this city.]
One would think I would be used to this life by now. They would find themselves quite wrong, of course, but I can hardly blame them for their thoughts. I hide it well, I suppose. However, I was a very busy man, and a Lord should not leave his castle for too long. It is largely outside my nature, but even one such as I can grow impatient. I would like to join any future attempts to seek an exit to this world. Although I am currently without my former abilities, I do still possess my faculties. I would very much like to use my prowess so that they do not dull.
[And with that, Marluxia hangs up in order to relax and alleviate his headache from the day's work and lack of general stimulus.]
