http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e196/edonochibisan/LIND.jpg History: Ikki’s team is training in a camp in the mountains to conquer their weak points. Agito is keeping himself busy with training on his own, far away from the others. It’s noted that his fang-attack is becoming weaker and so he mainly trains on getting it to be better, stronger and being able to use it many times before fatigue hits him.
Then, right in the middle of a storm, assassins from Genesis arrive to take Agito out. He is forced to call in Akito’s help by removing the eye patch and this way being strong enough to face the first one, Caesar, and manages to take him out. However, he then has to face Orca who is a lot stronger. He has a special way of being able to use pressure to make things literally explode. If having to face such a strong opponent isn’t bad enough, Nakayama shows up. She is the side character girl who fancies Agito but the love isn’t really returned, in fact Agito’s first words to her appearance here were “Who the hell are you?”
Orca decides this has to be turned into a game and captures Nakayama, telling Agito he should save the princess from the dragon! Agito wonder how the hell it came to this and how he should only protect Akito, but something in him makes him want to save her too.
Agito tries to attack Orca, but finds that he is too strong and is nearly defeated. Meanwhile inside of him Akito finds himself faced with a third person who occupies this body and is forcing his way out. He manages to ‘lock’ Agito away behind his mental barriers and Lind has effectively taken over. Also, his outside appearance has changed. Not only is the hairstyle different (it’s somehow ‘cooler’ think Super Saiyan from Dragonball Z) the pupils of his eyes are different as well. They are shaped like an X with arrow shaped ends which is crossed again by a + shape.
Lind battles Orca, showing he has a lot more skill and strength than Agito, this excites Orca since he always wanted to battle someone who could maybe measure up to his own strength. The battle continues and finally ends up with Orca forcing Lind and Nakayama into the water. Lind starts to choke, but Nakayama gives him her last breath to save him before going limp and sinking down to the bottom of the lake. If that isn’t enough, Orca goes down after her and explodes her head only in an attempt to make Lind even angrier. However, this backfires as Lind doesn’t seems fazed by this at all, there’s billions of girls out there after all, why worry about just one?~
This is where Agito freaks.
Somehow, he managed to break his way through Lind’s mental barrier, Lind says he is a fool, that he knows he can’t win against Orca, but Agito says that he shouldn’t jump to conclusions like that. Right before locking Lind back away inside his body, he tells him that he won’t let him use his body and friends at his own leisure. He has finally found a place for himself, and even if it’ll hold him back from fighting like a cold blooded bastard he doesn’t care.
Back in charge of the body, Agito manages to use the pressure Orca had put in the lake against him and finally defeats him with a killer fang attack. Orca is happy to know there was someone stronger than him in the world. (It’s possible he killed Orca, but since this is Air Gear I can’t say a definite on it.)
After this he finds Nakayama and believes she is dead until he notices that her exploded face is really just her face covered in exploded fish… Orca didn’t really kill her. Being the gallant prince who just saved his princess he of course has to give her the kiss of life~ (aka CPR) …But this is Agito so he does it with a bamboo stick. 8D
Later he also states to Ikki that he fears one day Lind will take over, and if that happens he wants Ikki to take him down. But Ikki being Ikki simply gives him a hard head rub and tells him he’d better make sure that never happens then!
Theory on where the hell he came from + Special powers: In Air Gear there are people called “Gravity Children”. They were created in a lab deep under the ground (think those huge test tube alien things) and were created together with Air Treck, designed to be able to use these AT better than anyone else. They, together with the AT were designed to be able to handle extreme differences in gravity and pressure. We don’t exactly know why yet, but there you go. Several characters in Air Gear are revealed to be these children, they’ve only been hiding their identity by wearing contact lenses as their one outside mark of being a gravity child are + shaped pupils. (Different from Lind’s.)
Lind, however, isn’t one of these. It is stated that he is a product from the same sort of facility, but different in the way that he was an ordinary human who was given the same powers as a gravity child. Thus, he wasn’t always like this and should have normal parents out there somewhere. He is able to utilise power and recuperate any power he would have normally lost. (Think a light bulb losing most of it’s energy through warmth rather than light, in Lind’s case he would reuse this warmth power.)
At what point did Lind turn into Akito? We don’t know. Did Akito know Lind exists? Maybe. Did Agito know? I think he didn’t. We do know Akito’s (or would that be Lind’s?) brother Kaito knows more about this. We’ll just have to wait and see if we ever get more information but I think that will take quite a while.
Personality: Considering he only appeared for four or so chapters, it is hard to get a good grasp on his personality. But, Lind seems to have the “I’m so cool~” air over him. He also seems pretty arrogant and very confident of himself.
Something that stuck out as a difference between him and Agito/Akito is that he seems to be a ladies man, he definitely tried to chat Nakayama up even if he acted as though he totally didn’t care about her in the end. He even referred to Agito and Akito as babies when it comes to this. He seems a lot more mature than the both of them.
He’s not afraid to fight and destroy, in fact the main reason he came out was because he wanted to show Agito their true power. However, in the end, he still seemed pretty pleased to see Agito finally admitted to wanting to fight for his friends.
