Summary: Sitting on his throne looking at the other gods around him
Sitting on his throne looking at the other gods around him, his sons and brothers he couldn't hold his anger, thunder was heard outside the hall where the gods were sitting in circle each on his own throne, Yunho, king of the gods was angry. No, angry is an understatement for sure, as he was way much than angry looking at the stars lining up in the sky
'How could this happen?' he yelled and his loud voice echoed in the hall and the thunder raged outside hitting and destroying everything it reached
'Brother…' Yoochun stood up at once; it was his fault after all
'No. It's not your fault' yunho's eyes softened a little looking at his beloved brother, he knew his brother will never betray him, his brother had proved that countless times already
'It was my fault it had been stolen, if I was more careful…' Yoochun, the mighty god of the seas began
'How could you predict that? One of our own betraying us!' yunho roared again, and again roared the thunder outside
'My king' changmin stood up at once and bowed to his king, his father, and took a step closer to him
Yunho smiled a little looking upon his beloved son, out of all his sons he loved changmin the most, cherished him the most too
Encouraged by the soft smile changmin, the god of wisdom, took a step closer to his father
'Father, please calm down, your rage is destroying everything on earth' pleaded changmin knowing that the poor humans had nothing to do with this to suffer the punishment and rage of the strongest god
Looking around yunho sighed a little however his anger increased seeing the throne to his right empty as the throne beside kibum was too, Shindong wasn't there but the queen…
'And where is my queen in the midst of all this?' he roared again
No one spoke, no one answered
'Right where I should be, making sure no more harm will be done' jaejoong, queen of the gods walked into the hall gracefully wearing a white Chiton and a golden girdle around his slim waist, his hands covered with golden bracelets till the elbows and a small golden crown on his head
Everyone stood up; everyone bowed to the queen as he reached to take his place beside the king and smile at them
'Explain yourself!' roared yunho as he took a few steps to his wife, changmin bowed to his father and again took his place on his throne
Jaejoong sighed and stood up, looking around him at the five stars lining up he smiled bitterly facing his husband, the king of the sky and smiled:' while you were busy on earth to notice things I did, I noticed the changes, the signs and I did warn you on several occasions but you never heard my warning and always walked away. I knew I must act on my own so I did and I'm glad I did so'
'Did what?' roared yunho again and again roared the thunder outside
'I foreseen the betrayal, I even asked Eunhyuk to spy around on everyone, I knew where he went and I knew what he wanted so I acted before him. You see I knew Shindong, your own brother, was after Yoochun's powers, he wasn't powerful enough to go against you himself yet, but he thought that if he could make you go against your brother yourself, banish him from Olympus then he will be able to get rid of him and then go after you. Shindong was after Yoochun's powers to unlock the gates of Tartarus and release the monster within, to make a pact with them so they will destroy Olympus and he will rule'
Several gods gasped at the words of their queen
'That is why… when you sent for me…' mumbled changmin looking up at his queen
'Who is wiser than you? The god of wisdom, I sent after you seeking advice and you gave me the perfect one. Remember my words?' jaejoong smiled at changmin and sat down again
Changmin looked at his father and spoke:' what should we do when a precious one is in trouble and won't listen to us? When we see the danger in the horizon but he decides to close his eyes upon it'
Jaejoong nodded
'And I said to help him even if he didn't see it that way' changmin went on and looked at the queen now
'And so I did, the only way to make sure the gate won't open is to make sure the seven stars won't line up, five had already lined up and the gate grew weaker and weaker, if Shindong had succeeded in stealing Yoochun's power which he thought he did he would have opened the gates and released the horror within'
'But he did steal the power. The trident is gone!' Yoochun bowed at the queen
Smiling softly jaejoong waved his hand and a shimmering light appeared right in the middle of the circle and Yoochun's trident appeared. Standing up at once Yoochun held his trident in his hand and bowed again
'Explain!' asked yunho again, his tone softer now but still it was dangerous
'I sent Eunhyuk to take it, replaced it with a fake using my abilities. I ordered a human to make a copy and I cursed it to have the same aura as Yoochun's trident while I hid the original in the castle' jaejoong smiled a little
Looking at Eunhyuk yunho roared again:' you knew of this!'
Shaking his head and shivering as he stood up and bowed Eunhyuk shook his head
'He didn't know, he thought it was weird thing to spy on the gods for me but he never asked me why I gave him those tasks nor did he complain, a true loyal god' jaejoong defended Eunhyuk at once
'Still, it doesn't make it up for my brother's betrayal!' roared yunho and the thunder roared outside
'Father' Heechul whispered, the god of love was afraid of his father's dangerous tone
'Where is he?' hissed yunho and the thunder roared outside
'In his temple, preparing to escape' jaejoong answered calmly again
'Shindong!!!' roared yunho and the echo was so loud that it shook the entire temple
The thunder outside was so wild now, it reached Shindong's temple stroking it with one huge lightening that the roof collapsed in some areas
Soon a dark figure entered the temple; all the gods wore white and golden, Heechul liked pink too but still they all had this golden aura around him but Shindong, his aura was black as his soul
'Brother' Shindong smiled at his brother acting innocent
'You broke our oath and stole from Yoochun!' yunho roared taking his place at the throne beside his queen
'I did no such thing' Shindong smiled innocently
'You tried to free the monsters we locked so long ago!'
'I would not have dreamed of it' Shindong smiled slyly
'You dare lie to the king?' yunho roared
'Why would I free the monsters? Wasn't I the one that helped lock them in the depth of Tartarus?' blinked Shindong playing innocent
Yunho turned to his queen:' explain!'
Standing up at once jaejoong took a step forward to Shindong and smiled, everyone was eyeing the two waiting in deadly silence but suddenly jaejoong turned to face changmin again and smiled:' remember the second time when I asked for you? Remember my words?'
Changmin blinked, every eye was on him now as he opened his mouth and spoke:' what's the best way to prove someone's words?'
Jaejoong nodded smiling at the younger god
'And I said to find evidence, one so strong that can't be denied'
Jaejoong nodded again and turned to look at another god, at Yoochun now and spoke:' remember when I asked for you?'
Yoochun nodded:' you asked for a dye from the sea, one so strong and powerful to even dye the skin of a god?'
'And you brought it to me' smiled jaejoong
'Anything for the queen' bowed Yoochun a little
'And I covered the fake trident with the dye. Why don't you show us your hands Shindong to prove me wrong? Magic didn't work on the trident, it was protected against it so you had to hold it yourself and so you got the dye on your hand' smiled jaejoong sitting on his throne again
Wide eyes Shindong hid his hands in the long sleeves of his black cloak
'Show me!' roared yunho and the thunder roared outside louder than ever
'SO WHAT? I DID BETRAY YOU? WHAT WILL YOU DO? YOU CAN'T KILL ME!' Shindong yelled and everyone gasped at once
Standing up at once yunho was so angry he was shaking with rage, a lightening appeared in his hand glowing and twitching waiting to be released:' I can't kill you but I'll banish you to the underworld! You are not allowed here anymore!' yunho released the lightening that hit Shindong right in the chest and took him with it right to the underworld
'I SHALL HAVE MY REVENGE!!' yelled Shindong as he flew away
'Father' Heechul spoke up softly
'Troubles are not over' jaejoong whispered and every eye was on him again
'A boy was born, tonight just as the stars lined up, a baby boy was born. A boy that even the Moirae*1 can't decide upon his fate'
