'I…I will stay with him' yunho whispered
Jaejoong widened his eyes, looking at yunho he could not take it, he turned around and ran out of the room
Leeteuk sighed; looking at jaejoong running away he knew the boy was hurting, he knew how much jaejoong loved yunho and up till now he had the feeling that yunho loved him back
'I will go to the meeting then' kangin frowned; he walked to leeteuk and planted a soft kiss on his cheek before he walked away with the council members
'I will take my leave too then, please call for me if he feels anything wrong again' the healer bowed and left
'Yun…' leeteuk finally spoke up when he and yunho were the only people left in the room
'I know mother, I just can't understand anything anymore, I don't know what to do…' yunho sighed looking at junsu, why was his face making him feel like this? Like he would want nothing more than just to lean in and kiss him? What was happening to him?
Sighing leeteuk left yunho alone and went to his work too, he just hoped that his son will make the right decision, beside it did not seem like junsu is ready to let anyone into his heart, he had just lost the love of his life, his husband, so if yunho choose to be with him it will be a hard time making him get over his husband
Time passed and junsu was still out of it, it was afternoon when a messenger came into the room and bowed telling yunho that the king is asking for him in the crown hall
Blinking and not understanding yunho frowned, he did not feel like leaving junsu alone but it could not be helped, if the king wanted to meet him then it's an important thing for sure
Standing up yunho casted junsu a last look before he walked out of the room and softly closed the door
Walking into the hall yunho frowned, there were his parents sitting in their thrones and the council was standing on the left, all ere there which meant that something serious was going on, on the right side was jaejoong standing there and looking at the ground, not facing anyone
As yunho entered all bowed to him, even jaejoong bowed but still did not face him, when yunho reached in front of his parents and bowed kangin spoke up:' yunho, jaejoong came here with a request that concerns you… he wishes to break off the engagement between the two of you'
The news hit yunho like a bump; he could not believe this was happening
'W…what? Why?' yunho turned to jaejoong asking, did the boy have someone else? Doesn't he love him anymore?
'I…it's better that way, and the prince would be free to be with the one he loves' jaejoong spoke again without facing yunho
'I refuse!' yunho frowned; the idea of breaking the engagement was unacceptable no matter what! The idea of not owning the boy anymore, that the boy would stop trying to make him fall in love with him, that he would stop paying him special attention like he always does, would stop following him around and try to look pretty for his eyes, yunho could not take that
'Yunho…' leeteuk began
'I refuse to break off the engagement and that is it! The decision settles with me anyway!' yunho frowned
'What you're doing is not fair for jaejoong too, you're hurting him and…'
'I won't break the engagement and he is not allowed to mention the subject again! When you told me about the engagement ten years ago you said I and only I will ever hold the right to break it off, do I still hold that right father?'
'Of course you do yunho, it's not the issue here but the fact that jaejoong…' kangin did not know how to finish that
'I won't break it off!' yunho repeated
'Yun, about our talk earlier, did you make a decision?' leeteuk spoke softly
'No…not yet' yunho sighed, half his heart was in love with junsu while the other half was in love with jaejoong, he could not think of whom he loves more or whom to be with, it was too much for him
'Please your highness…' jaejoong spoke up with a broken voice ' I can't go on like this… please break…' jaejoong began to speak while tears trailed down his face
'I said you're not allowed to say that again!' yunho shouted at jaejoong startling him
'Why don't we all just go to the center of the castle, let's just try to calm down before dinner' leeteuk suggested
'That is a good idea' kangin nodded
Jaejoong did not answer but looked away
'You're coming too' yunho hissed at him and jaejoong looked away, this was way too much for him to handle and all because of that newcomer who started everything and caused all this mess
'I will go see if junsu woke up too' yunho spoke and jaejoong fisted his palms, why?
'Go bring him here and we will go together' leeteuk sighed and yunho nodded and walked away
Long minutes passed, about twenty minutes before yunho walked back into the hall holding onto junsu's waist supporting him to walk as the boy walked slowly
'Let's go' leeteuk smiled softly, he quickly stood up and walked to jaejoong holding onto his hand, he knew jaejoong was hurting and he did not want him to suffer, he wanted this to end soon and yunho to decide where his heart belongs
Kangin walked first with leeteuk beside him and jaejoong still holding on leeteuk's hand walked a step behind them, yunho and junsu walked slowly behind and the council walked at the rear
The center of the castle was a few floors up, normally they would magically go there but since junsu was afraid of magic they decided to walk, as they walked up the stairs leeteuk frowned and shivered a little
'It's a little bit chilly, isn't it?' he whispered
'I can do something about it for you my queen' kangin smiled softly looking at his wife with love
'No my king you can't, remember, no magic around the boy, I will just go to our room and get a cloak or something' leeteuk smiled softly
'We will go with you. It's not far anyway' kangin smiled and everyone changed course to the royal bedroom
As leeteuk opened the door wide and entered the room junsu who was right in front of the door could see clearly inside, the room was all white too but it was big and pretty
The huge four posters bed was pretty and the white veils on it were silky with golden stars glittering on them, the fireplace had red and orange fire burning in it without even any wood, the white fluffy rugs on the floor all with golden edges, the white big closet, the big desk, the bookshelves and even the armchairs with the table in front of the big window, everything was in white and everything was lovely
The chandelier was amazing too, it was just like one hundred tiny golden stars swimming so close together taking different shapes every time, they had no wire to connect it to the roof yet it never fell but went on swimming in the middle of the room
There on top of the fireplace there was a painting, there was kangin and leeteuk, the king and queen, sitting on their thrones and there were two boys standing behind them, one on each side, yunho was the first and the second was…was…
Junsu widened his eyes, he could not believe his eyes, it was him, and way too younger than he last saw him but it was him undoubtedly, it was him for sure
Junsu felt weak in the knees, he could not believe this was happening, he could not believe he would find a painting of him in such a place and with the royal family? Why…why was he in the painting with them anyway?
Junsu let go of yunho's helping hand, his eyes watering and his vision becoming blurry he could not but take a step into the room, looking directly at the painting, not caring about some council members yelling at him for daring to enter the royal bedroom, not caring about leeteuk's puzzled expression and not caring about the frown on kangin's face, he just walked forward, walked straight to him, reaching a hand slowly to touch him, even if it was just a painting, even if it was just a picture, junsu wanted to touch him, he wanted to stare at him and keep staring for the end of time, he wanted to stand in front of this painting like that forever and ever, not moving at all
