Summary:Yoochun had just finished his breakfast
Yoochun had just finished his breakfast, he stood up and was about to leave when he and the rest heard the yell from outside
'W...what's that?' jaejoong sounded scarred
Yoochun didn't wait for an answer; he just rushed out followed by the two men and ran toward the source of the yell, toward the village main square where he parked his car
Yoochun got quite a shock as he saw his car, his beloved new car, the car he saved for two years to buy. It was smashed, the tires were emptied of all the air, the glass was all smashed and a lot of wires were cut so it wasn't going to work for sure
'Is that blood?' jaejoong whispered, horror dripping from his voice
Yoochun looked at the front of his car, there was written with blood No way out
Yoochun rushed back to the inn, he rushed to his room and grabbed some things from the equipment kit before rushing back to the scene. With a cotton swab he took a sample of the blood and sprayed something colorless on it, the cotton swab turned blue
'I think we know where your missed chicken ended up now…' he turned to look at jaejoong ' or its blood, anyway'
Jaejoong widened his eyes:' who…who would do such a thing?'
'Why would someone do such a thing?' yunho frowned
'Because they want to keep me here' yoochun hissed
Everyone blinked; yoochun didn't care but looked at yunho:' do you know where we can storage this? It's no good to leave it here'
'In one of my empty stables' yunho nodded
'Good, help me push it' yoochun hissed. He, yunho and jaejoong pushed the car all the way to yunho's horse ranch and pushed it into one of the empty stables
'I'll go wash my hands' jaejoong pouted a little ' and say hello to Whitetail' he rushed away, it was pretty clear that he knew his way around here by heart
'The thing jaejoong saw in the forest that morning…' yunho began
Yoochun looked up at him, waiting for him to finish. He was sure yunho wasn't it, he wasn't the murdered, nor was jaejoong. Simply, they both had alibis, they were with him when the car was smashed, jaejoong saw the murdered and got frightened about it and he had saw jaejoong's hand writing, it was nothing like the letter which was sent to him
'…it wasn't a stray horse, was it?'
'No. it wasn't. I can't say much but I think you should be more careful from now on, everyone should' yoochun warned
'Who're you? You came here asking questions about something that we're just beginning to get over it and now weird things happen, again. What the hell is this all about?' yunho almost yelled
Yoochun looked at the man; he looked into his eyes and saw something he couldn't explain. Jung Yunho was never one of the victims of the kills, he was young and probably scared back then, more like terrified. But, Jung Yunho never lost anyone, so how come he says that they're just getting over it, getting over what?
'I didn’t ask for this either, I was happy enough in my job till this happened' yoochun hissed back ' where can I wash my hands?' he tried to change the subject
Yunho wasn't dumb; yoochun knew that, the boy was smart, actually. But, he still allowed him to change the subject; he let it go and walked with yoochun out of the stable to a nearby water pump
Yoochun washed his hands clean and watched as yunho did so, soon after jaejoong came to them followed by a pretty white horse with a light silver hair that it looked white too
'He won't let me go' jaejoong pouted seeing yunho eyeing him. He didn't manage to convince any of the two men that he didn't like the horse following him around, though
'Of course it would follow you, you keep on spoiling it with food and love' yunho rolled his eyes. Still, a smile stretched on his lips as jaejoong reached his hand and patted the horse on its neck lovingly
Yoochun watched the two; again he was having this weird feeling that those two had more of a relationship going on of that they should have as friends. But, again he didn't say anything but looked at yunho and hissed, not sure if the man even heard him:' I'm going now'
Yoochun didn't wait for an answer, it didn't seem to come anytime soon so he just left and walked to the village, he saw two elderly villagers sitting together whispering right where his car was smashed. They didn't look so happy, fear was clear in their eyes and yoochun knew it, he knew that young men, teenagers or kids won't be able to tell him what the secret is, only old people who were already adults when this happened the first time would be able to tell him how it started, what happened before it and probably caused it to happen. After all, a serial killer won't come out the blue and begin killing everyone in his way, there must be a pattern, a connection between the victims and he was to find it, to know what it was because, knowing the type of victim the killers targets tells him about the killer, tells him a lot about him
Yoochun walked to the two men and sat between them, they looked at him and stopped talking at once, he had to use his charms to get them talking again, he knew this
'It was horrible what happened this morning, my poor car' yoochun began
'Sure is…' the old man on yoochun's right spoke nodding his head, the old man on his left was looking into space in front of him, probably didn't hear them at all
'And there are rumors you know…' yoochun began. He knew that people of the villages liked gossip; old men at the villages liked gossip even more '… rumors about bad things happening to anyone goes near the old shrine in the forest' yoochun invented now
Yoochun knew that in every forest near an old village there was a shrine, a place where everyone went to pray. Place which about stories about ghosts were told. Or at least that what he knew from all the movies he watched in his life
'Oh, it's not the shrine my young boy, it's not the shrine' the old man on the left finally spoke, this sounded interesting enough for him to talk now
'It's the entire forest' the old man on the right finished for his friend and the two nodded. Yoochun blinked at them
'The entire forest?' yoochun frowned. Again, it was the forest, first the thing jaejoong saw and now this
'Its common knowledge that no one is allowed in it, my boy… anyone around it would fall into troubles beyond their dreams' the old man covered his mouth with his palm as if he had spoke something forbidden, as if he spilled out a dark secret he was to take with him to the grave
'You have a big mouth' his elderly friend hissed and the two stood up and left yoochun alone. Yoochun, on the other hand didn't need more than that, he could do his own investigations now he got something to start with
Yoochun knew that sentences like entering the forest would get you into troubles had a solid basic, even if it was magnified and turned into something ridicules. This theory worked for this cast too, mostly for this case. If the villagers believed that entering the forest would get them into troubles then they were afraid of the forest, or more likely afraid of something in the forest. Something or someone who could harm them, in other words a freaking crazy, dangerous murderer who's still on the lose
Looking at the innocent looking forest yoochun wondered how many secrets it hid. What was inside of it? It's was killing him to know, he had to, it became an obsession already
Making sure his gun is ready in his hand and that the extra magazines were in his pocket before he took a deep breath and marched. Making sure no one will see him, that no one would stop him yoochun marched into the forest and kept a sharp eye at everything around him
The trees were so high that the wind and the sun barely reached inside, yoochun had to watch his steps not to trip over a broken tree or something. Still, he walked in, he walked deeper and deeper and there was no sign of that black thing jaejoong saw, still yoochun noticed something weird as he entered deeper into the forest…
