'Is there something you needed, you're not often shown around the castle on such an early time?' the prince asked, he tried to hide the displease he felt from his words as he spoke

Changmin wasn't listening much; he was trying to think hard, the day he traveled in time with kibum, the day magic died and everything, was this man there? He didn't see him, or didn't remember seeing him. Maybe he should ask kibum, kibum was there with him, he would probably remember better as he wasn't busy killing people in revenge for his fallen king

Changmin, however, did hear his name being said and snapped his head, looking at the Great Saga who blinked at him

'Sorry?' changmin frowned; he didn't listen to what the man had said

'Thinking much aren't you, I was saying that I would like to have tea with you, I require a word as well. I think I need your help in something'

Changmin frowned, a month ago he didn't see the Great Sage on this day, but he didn't see the prince either, nor did he come back from out of the castle on foot, looking so tired

'Of course, but I fear I can't stay much, I need to go on a mission, on the king's order' changmin informed the man who smiled at him

There was always something in this smile that changmin didn't like, there was something in this smile which he despised and hated, he didn't know why but he always felt like this man hid more than he revealed. That he always kept secrets from everyone and pursued the king to let him do as he pleased, something that both changmin and the prince didn't like much, or any at all, so they always tried to keep their distance from the man

'Changmin, don't forget to come to my chamber later, before you go, I will hand over the book for you to read on your mission, on the road, you know, I'll be much… fun'

'Of course your highness, you're so kind your highness' changmin bowed to the prince, again understanding the hidden meanings and walked with the Great Saga to his chamber in the tallest tower of the castle

Never before did changmin enter this chamber, not that he ever wanted to, he just wasn't interested. But now that he did, he couldn’t help but look around; he just couldn't find anything that wasn't gold or made of jewels. Even the four damn bed posters were made out of gold and gems, he didn't like this

'Sit down' the Great Saga pointed at the armchairs by the window; those two were made out of damn gold. Sitting down changmin wasn't sure he liked sitting on them, the chairs weren't comfortable for him, but they sure were to that greedy man sitting across of him

Eyeing the man changmin frowned, he was about a thousand years old and still he looked as young as kibum, he was somehow pretty, or so said the soldiers, not that changmin found him pretty or something, kibum were so prettier than him by far. His robes and clothes were made out of; guess what, gold, of course.

In fact, changmin believed, that he only thing that wasn't made out of gold in this chamber was the cane the man was holding, it was wood, pure wood. The cane was around a meter and something height, it was an old, very old, wood stick that was dark brown and it was twisted around itself a lot of times, and on the top it was like a little ball, where the man held the cane. Changmin frowned still, why was the man using a cane when he walked perfectly fine without it?

'Drink up' the Great Sage smiled at him and changmin frowned, where the heck did this tea come from?

Holding the golden, gem covered tea cup in his hand changmin frowned, he didn't trust this man. He used his magic to summon tea when everyone was trying not to use their magic afraid it would be stolen. Wasn't he worried that he would lose his magic as well? Or maybe he thought he was above all those things

Holding the cup to his lips changmin acted as if drinking, but he didn't. The tea barely touched his lips, but he made a face as if swallowing and looked at the man, not taking his eyes off him, he didn't trust him, at all.

'So…'

Here we go, changmin thought as the man began talking, he was about to reveal the reason behind this sudden invite

'I heard what happened in the academy' the Great Saga sighed ' poor little kids, losing their magic like this' he shook his head

Changmin didn't answer; those fake sighs and poor acting skills didn't work on him

'But what could we do? There's an end to everything, even magic, as it seems'

'You shouldn't say that. Everyone knows magic can't be killed' changmin spat at him, respectfully, of course.

'But I'm only stating facts. People are getting angry, soon they will attack the royals themselves id more magic was to go missing, and then there would be a need for new leader , someone to assure the people and lead them to victory'

'What are you suggesting?' changmin placed his cup back onto the table and fisted his hands. He was more than willing to use what's left of his powers to banish this jerk to hell, but he couldn't lose this chance, the man was finally showing his true colors and he had to endure it

'Nothing, of course, I'm merely pointing out the obvious' the Great Saga smiled, almost innocently, but his eyes were telling changmin exactly what he wanted

'Of course' changmin repeated. He wanted to leave already; all this gold was giving him a headache. Never before did he ever think he would hate to see gold as much as now.

'I think I better go now, I need to leave early to finish early' changmin stood up

'You're leaving to the academy, huh?'

Changmin nodded, his hands fisted even more, how did this… Great saga find out he was going to the academy? Was he eavesdropping on the prince and him earlier? If so, what else did he hear?

'It's such a pity I can't go there myself. There was always a hidden spot in the basement, I used to hide stuff there' the Great Saga smiled ' but I guess no one else ever found it' he challenged

Changmin felt boiling, he was going to find this damn spot just to prove this jerk wrong, he will find it even if it was the last he'll do. Hopefully, he thought, there would be something incriminating in it so he'll throw this jerk in jail and get rid of him once and for all'

Smiling even though boiling, changmin walked out of the room and to the prince's chamber.

It was a very big book changmin was holding, but it was rather light to its look and size. Holding the book dearly changmin frowned and walked, trying to avoid everyone and everything as he went to the stables, got his horse and hurried to the house

All the way changmin kept casting spells to make sure no one is following him, as he really felt someone, or something, following him. But somehow he managed to shake it off before halfway

Today was different, the market was open and everything was normal, normal life, changmin walked into the markets and decided it would be wiser to buy the four newcomers some normal cloth to wear instead of their own, so he did.

The second changmin opened the door and entered the house he was yanked from his collar and slammed against the wall by an angry yunho and a furious yoochun

Coughing a few times changmin waited till the pair finished yelling and hissing and freed him before he massaged his poor neck and walked to the more than frightened kibum and patted his head once gently, smiling a little, assuring him that he's all fine

'I was at the castle. It seems we came back to a month before the day the royals were killed. By now people are still losing their powers, some even from inside the academy. But the situation is still better than it will become in a month. So, I think we got a month to stop this darkness and save everyone's magic'

The four men frowned at this, none knowing anything about how to fight this thing

'I also brought you all some clothes, you'll need it to fit in, so help yourselves' he handed them the bundle in his hand and junsu opened it, revealing four sets of clothing ' kibum, you should be able to summon some of your cloth to here'

Kibum nodded

'I also brought this' he showed them the book

'And how is this ol' dusty is going to help us?' yoochun rolled his eyes at him

'Not ol' dusty as you called it' changmin smirked and opened the book ' but the prophecy inside of it'

Inside the book were no pages, but a space in which laid a scroll, the book turned out to be just a box to hide this scroll inside, a smart move, everyone had to admit, as the book looked so innocent and harmless that no one would have suspected it hid the scroll inside of it

'It's the prophecy about you four. The only source of information we got. His highness gave it to me' changmin laid the scroll on the table and slowly, very slowly, opened it revealing the prophecy. Words of light were written on the old yellowish paper and everyone inched in to read…
