You.Me.Coincidences(and my actions)

A sigh escaped his lips as he continued walking down the narrow street. Cars were parked almost everywhere leaving too little space for the people themselves. Garbage cans were filled to the brim and cats, as dark as the night, were lurking around them. Though Yoseob didn’t make out much of these surroundings- they were a daily thing to him. Living in one of the more poor neighborhoods of the town he was used to this kind of dark canvases. But this time there was something on the raven head’s mind. He was thinking about his encounter with him.

“Shit”

Yoseob was running late- very late to a much too important appointment. He had to hurry no matter what and hurrying usually meant not paying attention to anything around you aka getting yourself in risky situations. And the short boy sure did.

A blur of red mixed with white, annoying car honks blending with terrified screams and warning shouts and then- warmness. That’s all that he manages to feel for the few seconds he’s actually on the way of the passing cars, because in his hurry he has passed on a red light. And then he focuses on the warmness more and opens his eyes, just now realizing that he actually even closed them, and sees or more like feels the fabric of a cotton t-shirt pressed up against his face. Just then he registers it’s probably a person- a person who probably saved his life. Yoseob tries to escape the strong arms that are holding onto to him (though he ought to admit he was feeling quite comfortable in them) but they don’t bulge. Instead a deep voice, with some hints of huskiness flows into his ears warning to not move around too much. And so he doesn’t and then everything’s over- he can feel the stranger releasing him and Yoseob’s just about to start thanking him when a pair of paramedics rush the shorter away. And he’s leaved only with the vivid memory of the safeness that he had been engulfed by just seconds ago.

The boy finally escaped the dark alley and found himself mingled with the human mass, passing through the main street. People were rushing all around him, heading to different destinations, wearing different expressions and he couldn’t help but strain his ears in hopes of hearing that certain voice. But the general sounds coming from everywhere are just too much for Yoseob and he just decides to give up.

Soon after that he forgets abut the stranger with the deep voice and musky scent and everything goes back to normal. Almost.

Now for one thing Yoseob’s hair is blond, bright blond. A lot of people turn to stare after him in the streets but he doesn’t care too much- people will always stare for one reason or another.

He bleached it according to his new job. A bartender at club “Viper”. But except for that there’s nothing new going on in his life. He still lives in that old rusty apartment complex in the rundown part of the town- his pay is good but not good enough for him to move into another place just yet. He’s usually living off from take-out or cheap instant noodles- according to his mood and the check that’s left for him on payday.

Other than that he just really enjoys what he’s doing. His shift starts differently almost every time- he still hasn’t figured out any logical pattern for those moving hours. But it does finish at the same time- when the last customer is out or more specifically somewhere about 5 in the morning. By that time he’s either feeling beat tired from the busy night or giddy with excitement from the few cocktails he’s sneaked into his throat when nobody was looking.

So when one night he hears a voice he can almost swear that this is some-kind of a joke God’s playing on him because that voice is vaguely familiar and then- he spots him. But in the end he doesn’t have the heart to complain because every time he passes by the tall male he can still sense that musky scent- sometimes mixed with an expensive cologne but still unique.

Later he learns his name is Dojoon and he can’t help but act overly-friendly towards him. The man doesn’t seem to recognize him but Yoseob doesn’t complain- there’s enough time for everything. So when he notices that way Dojoon’s cheeks flare up he can’t help but feel dumb-founded. Because since when did Fate work so fast?

So when the same night the elder decides to drop by the bathroom Yoseob’s quicker. He manages to abandon his work on the bar to poor Kikwang and tries to win a race against time. But when you know all the short-cuts it’s really quite easy.

By the time Dojoon’s by the door, the younger’s already inside and waiting. So when he sees the spaced out expression on the taller male’s face when he enters he doesn’t hesitate. It take 2 seconds, one harsh pull and a minute of recognition for Dojoon to become his.
