Oh this series! I have the first book, its been sitting on my shelf for so long. I only read about 2 chapters and then gave up. I gave it up for pretty shallow reasons. The cover showing the main character put me waaay off. I couldnt stop picturing him im my head and it was just ew. I must be very shallow... but i like the characters to be depicted in ways i find attractive and if they have ew pictures...then well its hard to get passed, harhar errrrr (unless i find the book REALLY gripping).
BUT after your review i think I shall try start reading this series! You made this book sound good so im sure the first one is too!
Is there lots or romance? i dont really like just action/adventure unless its historical and depressing.

I do usually go by cover sometimes, especially if I'm in a library and it's hard to pinpoint the good and bad stuff. But I don't believe I pictured any of the characters like they're shown on the cover. I'm able to just see what I want to see I guess (didn't used to, though). But I do understand where you're coming from ( ... )
