a "red" letter day

Today, June 30, is my brother's birthday. Born in 1956, he was like a second family for my parents. There had been 4 girls and the youngest was 14. mistake 1: the scene with the impaled crowd. The turks invited Vlad to a so called "peace talk" near the border. Their intention was to assassinate him and supported by the nobles to put their own ruler. In order to conceal their plan the turks brought their women and children to use as shields in case Vlad came armed. -using women and children as shields was a common tactic amongst the turks- Vlad killed all of them by impalement using the larger poles for the most important ones ( ... )
