when i was younger i wrote this essay about how i know people by how they like their eggs, and how they know my name by the thank you i scribble on the back of their tickets. sometimes people ask how i'm doing, or if i'm irish, but usually we keep it pretty simple. there are people who have eaten at lou henri every weekend for the last three years

I think it's so easy to be blind to the connections we have with everyone all around us. I'm realizing that more and more lately, and I don't understand how it happens.
