I just read "Raising Baby Green" by Alan Greene.  I read it in a day and liked most of what he had to say.  There were a few things I was surprised by.  He is a pediatrician and has a website on answering parents questions about medical questions.  The thing that stands out in my mind as the most surprising thing he said was about ear infections

sounds like some interesting books! I think the pesticide load is b/c you typically eat the skin of apples and peaches. My doc. once told me (when I asked how he could afford to eat all organic) and he said he chooses to buy organic [roughly] on whether or not you eat the skin.

I'm glad you are enjoying your trip! It sounds like you're able to find some relaxing.
