I derive a strange sort of pleasure from finding the ideal windshield wiper speed to fit the moment.

Whoooosh.
Driving through gigantic puddles with the music turned up.
My mind's somewhere else but I'm feeling just fine.

Unfamiliar lighting and blue alcohol. Broken glass and barking dogs. Five remotes and not one clue of how to make anything work. Sometimes I feel like a drug addict. All this time, you thought I needed to start over. When I really just need to start. Stop yourself half-way through when you realize no one else has heard it.

Looking back on it now, driving to Pittsburg last night wasn't really worth it when I have to go to work and open shitty promos all day on one hour of sleep.

Oh wait, yes it was.

But at times I wondered if I had not come a long way to find that what I really sought was something I had left behind
