This is me holding a little less than half of the tumbleweed that rode home on the front of my car today. I intended to drive home in triumph with the whole thing still adorning my grill--I made it most of the way, but then it started to break off so I pulled over and stuffed the remains in my backseat. No way I'm abandoning my trophy.
This is the second time a car I have been traveling in has wound up with a tumbleweed larger than the passengers riding shotgun. Obviously a conspiracy. I intend to interrogate this bugger later; I have him penned in the backyard right now.
With the windchill factor, it's a balmy 6 degrees F today. My face went numb on the way to class. On the other hand, the wind has cleared away the smog so the air is crystal clear, and it brought me a tumbleweed buddy, so I think I'll take it.
