Hey babydolls! So this weekend rocked my socks off. More on that later, right now it's time for massive picture post of my tattoo getting experience!
WARNING: 12 pictures all but one 800x532 and good quality, will take awhile to load!
I got my tattoo done (finally) at a shop named Godspeed Tattoo in San Mateo, CA. It took me awhile to figure out where to go because you find the best tattoo places or piercing shops by word of mouth. This basically involves going around and asking anyone with an amazing tattoo where they went. Took me about 5 months to be sure, but when pretty much every good tattooed person said Godspeed, I made my decision.
So here I am at the very beginning, he's going to start inking me in about two seconds.
This is about 4 minutes into the process, it wasn't so bad at first and I was doing pretty well.
This is what it looked like about 6 minutes in, the blue you see is the water soluble ink they use for the stencil on the skin.
8 minutes in, but you can't really see much. >.>
Here's a nice shot of Jason, my tattoo guy. He was really nice and did an amazing job, will definitely be going back to him for my future tattoos. Jason did a great job of calming my first tattoo nerves.
This is about 16 minutes into it, the outline's been done and he's filling it in. The filling in is by and large the most painful part of the experience.
22 minutes in and things are starting to really take shape. John was a little worried because all the smeared ink made it look like I had a finger painting tattoo on my back.
25 minutes in and I've reached my zen zone, the skin goes numb and you learn to ignore the pain.
28 minutes in and we're nearing the home stretch, not too much longer now.
Done! Took a grand total of 33 minutes and dei didn't need one break. Isn't it fucking sweet?
Now a shot of me in my pretty dress for the opera! Sorry about the over-exposure.
YES! Doesn't the tatt look sexy? Indeed, it does.
So there you have it, folks! Dei's tattoo adventure as told through pictures!
