Jubilation Lee. Her powers are: A) the ability to project pyrotechnic energy plasmoids. B) concussive blasts. C) ability to explosively charge objects & D) ability to evade the detection of telepaths. However, this is mostly untrained & only happens when she's kind of aware what's happening. Like the time she got kidnapped by Bastion, who showed her Wolverine being tortured. She cries, thinking it's real, until Wolverine starts begging. Then she starts laughing hysterically because she KNOWS Wolverine would never beg, which causes the screens showing her memories to blank out because she's finally caught onto Bastion's game.
This will probably be really all over the place, so this is a warning. Jubilee is an ex-mallrat, meaning she used to cruise malls & is all down with the slang. After her 'rents died she ran away from an orphanage & lived in the mall for a while, turning tricks-- I mean, using her powers to spange. I won't go into that right now, though, because I basically took Jubilee from the Generation X period, where she gave up being an X-men due to the fact that she was tired of having to fight for her life almost everday & etc. She kind of decides to do that during the Phalanx Covenant, stating that she needs more training because all she is, is a sparkler & can't even come close to Storm & whoever else, I forgot, in the power department. Even though she says this, her powers can be pretty destructive if she's really freaked out/mad/etc. Her emotions have a lot to do with the force behind her powers. For instance, in Madripoor, she totally blew up an entire building. However, it made her want to be more careful with her powers because she doesn't want to hurt people.
Another example of that is when she's captured, she lets her powers loose & injures a guard. Instead of leaving him behind, she revivies him with mouth to mouth & then runs off, before getting captured again BECAUSE she tried to save him.
Let's not forget when she finds out what went on behind her 'rents murder. She goes off solo to get revenge, but gets backed up by the rest of Generation X because Everett is a stupidhead & told them what was up. Anyway, she gets a chance to totally blow up the dude behind her 'rents death, but she doesn't. & everyone else is like, well because you chilled with Wolverine we thought you'd kill him. & She replies that it's BECAUSE she was with Wolverine that she's against taking a human life.
Also, I need to mention this, but Jubilee tends to brag about the fact that she was with the X-men. Like all the time. Especially during Generation X. She goes, "When I was with the X-men we never did this or that or so & so." So she can get pretty annoying with that. But she can back that up with real experience. As in, when Emplate totally captured most of Generation X, she comes up with a plan. This plan was to get Emplate so angry that he decides to feast on her & nab her powers. It works & he can't control her powers at all & ends up blowing shit up by accident & freeing them, while Jubilee says that's why she did it. Because she knew that she couldn't control her own powers when she's fuming angry. A great ploy, actually. She's smart when it comes to things like that due to the fact that she has so much experience fighting against asshol-- I mean, villains.
Though, I do need to mention that I recently canon updated to the part where she gets crucified on the X-men's front lawn. Before that, she chilled with Skin & tried to be an actor, which didn't work out. At all. But let's ignore that & move back to Skin. Skin was in Generation X with her & his power was his skin, which he could stretch out & do freaky shit with. Skin was one of Jubilee's closest friends & it totally killed her when, after she comes back from the dead, she sees that Skin is still dead. It tears her up even more when they're at his grave because she thinks she could've made his last days happier if she'd just given in & gone on a date with him. She regrets not doing so & wonders if she could have been happy with Skin, could've been in love with him. The Hayseed- I mean, Paige, comforts her. They tight, yo.
Jubilee also has a kind of cool relationship with Professor Xavier. Like, there was a part where Xavier regains the use of his legs & Jubilee is like
DUDE YOU HAVE TO LEARN HOW TO ROLLERBLADE. It's during this time that she learns that Xavier isn't this stick in the mud asshole. & she's cool with it, you know?
& let's not forget the relationship she has with Wolverine. She's his
sidekick. They've been through SO MUCH together. They've fought baddies ( let's remember MOJO. OGOD MOJO YOU FUCKING FREAK. There is a reason why I have an icon where she's like HOLY SHIT WTF IS THAT with him in it. Like, he has an alternate reality version of her as Abcissa, who said yes to his proposition. Since Jubilee says NO this time, Abcissa goes bye bye. )
& . . . that is all I am going to write now because I lost my attention span & want to go play with glitter now.
