What's great is that ALL THAT NEEDED TO BE SAID. But I love that as soon as it's said, it's like they just love each other more, if possible.

Seriously, all the crap between them is so much more complex than her just showing up and being all "I'm here now," but at the same time, I always, always, always knew Ray would just take her when she finally came to him ( ... )

Wow, I can't believe this is your first fic, its a really good piece of writing. You were pulling on my heart strings throughout, and at one point (about the start of this part) I was concerned that this was going to turn into one of those 'Ray decides he's better of with someone other than Neela' type stories but it didn't and for that I'm very grateful. And don't worry about it being angsty, I certainly love a bit of angst, especially if its as good as this!
