Ok. Now give me a song that, upon hearing it, you are always transported (mentally, not physically) back to an event in your life. If you want to describe the event, great. If you would rather keep it to yourself, I understand.

And thanks everyone for participating. I have learned a great deal about you from your answers to the last few

"Just Like Heaven" by The Cure, Lucas played it the last week I was in Appleton before moving to Chicago, and the Buddha sang it the first time I saw his band, when I realized I was head over heels for that strange dude.

I have a lot of songs like this. Most of them are Placebo songs. Every time I hear them I get an image in my head of a specific time and place I was listening to that song.

But overwhelmingly the one that sticks out more than anything else is Tori Amos' cover of "Smells Like Teen Spirit," and there are two moments. One is sitting on the train in Klamath Falls, Oregon, while it was stuck. I listened to it over and over. I was sad. A month or so later, I was sharing it with my new boyfriend - and it sort of ended up being "our song," oddly enough - and the image that I remember is sitting in my bedroom when he was visiting from New York, playing it, and even though I was seventeen I can still see the expression on his face when he heard it.

My Chemical Romance, sorry not sure of the name, but something off the Welcome to the Black Parade...

"We'll carry on, We'll carry on
And though you're dead and gone believe me
Your memory will carry on
We'll carry on
And in my heart I can't contain it
The anthem won't explain it"

Reminds me of my sweetie girl, takes me to our last day at the vet with Abby in my arms cheeseburger breath and all 3/3/94 - 5/7/07 - Debi, your memory of Sara reminded me of this.
