gragh! how does everyone else pull themselves out of a funk?
B. and i did some dancing today in Target! The movement helped, surprisingly :> That and pretending to be happy and making jokes sometimes tricks my brain.

Garden work, if it's sunny - sunshine and feeling of acheivement usually help. If it's grey and yucky, curl up on the couch with a Pratchett book until I can cope with the world again.

mmm this is true - i *have* been meaning to replant my herbs lately.. thanks for the reminder! i will give it a go - my balcony's an awesome place to potter!!

and the 'grey and yucky' part luckily doesnt apply - grey days make me feel better - yay!

boy has got computer up and running again after for some unknown reason windows shat itself. thanks boy!!

Did you get windoes confused with some other OS that actually crashes for a fathomable reason? :P

I get out of a funk by riding very fast in one direction till I get tired, then coming home and eating fruit.

Yeah, I was sick of babooshka before the first time I heard/saw it too.

getting out of a funk? I don't know, i'm bad at it, simply because my main reasons for funking are related to my PhD work, and i have no choice but to power through.
Delaying = increases stress. Persisting = fighting against the funk.
Lose-lose situation. Boy and Boy-hugs makes it all go away though, until the next day.

Exercise is good, wot Osk said. Endorphin flood in the blood stream, but you got to get to the point of getting off your arse. Go climb some sodding great big rock.
Yelling is good. Pick a fight with a friend and have a stand up argument about goverment policy on future planning. You can always have a good fight about the future because it is all speculative and it isn't really serious. (Don't actually lose a friend... that would be bad.)

hee hee :) i like the yelling suggestion! dont do much yelling but id love to sit in on an argument of yours with someone. sounds like good fun to listen to! boys are good for un-Funking, you are right. my boy helps lots too. as i said above to sesq, getting caught in the rain the other day helped.

hope youre doing well. :) whens your next rave?

i replied to you when i was feeling pretty shite, and i'm feeling much better now. Not much yelling this time, but a few stressed tears over a hot chocolate in my friend's cafe as a different kind of release.
As a work friend said, what i really needed was a good old roll in the hay.
And cos it takes a bit of work to get a girl's head into the right space (whereas guys have a seperate brain to do the sex thinking for them) what i REALLY needed was for my boy to crack on to me.

Well,
*cough*
worked a treat!

Next party, there is a warehouse DnB party in a week and a half, but the next proper rave would be Earthcore! We're going down to Melbourne for it! Woot!!
