so yesterday i went to fill my tires because jitensha had been sitting at bard all weekend. i tried to use my hand pump but i have a specific kind of valve and i thought the hand pump worked on it. i was wrong and i'd left the converter pin in my pump at home. what happens when you try to fill the tire with a pump that isn't compatible is that all

Sorry to hear you had such a rough time of it with your bike! Bike problems are the pits because normally when a bike breaks down, it also happens to be the only way you have to get somewhere and is never in a convenient place.
