yoochun/dana/kangin ♡ : "Choose me."
26 months prior to the wedding
Sungmi was drying her hair when her phone rang.
Her phone was beside the bed.
She hastily picked it up.
"Hi, it's me." A familiar voice finally said.
It seemed like a forever ago when she received a call from him.
"Hello, Youngwoon." His name was almost foreign.
---
"Choose me." Sungmi pleaded.
"You know I can't do that, Sungmi." Youngwoon said.
---
"Can I see you?"
There was silence on the other end.
She thought she'd never hear from him again.
---
When she got into the relationship, she knew what she was in for.
He was publicly hitched, for heaven's sake.
But that didn't stop them from meeting in Sungmi's apartment,
behind closed doors and cold walls -
making love in hushed tones.
It was fun, while it lasted.
The last time they saw each other, it was raining.
Hong Sungmi, the respectable Hong Sungmi,
was drenched in rain (or was it the tears running down her face?).
"She's getting suspicious."
"She doesn't know about us. She won't know. I didn't tell anyone, I swear!"
(This was true, of course. Who would believe Hong Sungmi could do such things?)
"We have to stop this."
"I promise I won't call you first anymore." Sungmi was sobbing.
"Choose me." Sungmi pleaded.
"You know I can't do that, Sungmi." Youngwoon said.
---
"No." Sungmi said, but of course Youngwoon didn't hear her.
She dropped the call before Yoochun got out of the bathroom.
"Honey, have you heard Youngwoon's fiancee called the wedding off?"
"Hmm? Mmmm."
(She heard of course, but none of that matters anymore.)

donghae/jessica ♡ : "This isn't fair, Sooyeon."
10 months prior to the wedding
"This isn't fair Sooyeon."
---
It seemed like a forever ago when they were always fighting.
Fighting to keep afloat when everything else was falling apart.
Sooyeon, Jessica to most, was strong as she was ambitious.
She wasn't the stick-to-one type, but that was her dreams,
she was always a stick-to-one man.
She wasn't the most conventional of women -
what Jessica wants, Jessica gets.
Even if it meant keeping Donghae at bay.
"You always understood me and my dreams."
This was during one too many fights,
and tonight the man lashed out saying,
"I'm always the one fighting to keep us together."
This was true, of course. But not most of the time.
Both of them were busy with their own lives,
sometimes seeing each other would be but an afterthought.
They loved, they fought, rinse, repeat.
Eventually, they got tired of it altogether.
However, no matter how they tried to deny it,
deep inside they knew this was forever.
---
"Marry me."
"This isn't fair Sooyeon. I should be the one doing that."
"Donghae please, everyone in this room is eager to hear your answer."
The room finally breathed a sigh of relief as Donghae said,
"Yes, I will, I will marry you."
This wasn't the most conventional of proposals,
but one cannot say Sooyeon, Jessica to most, was the most conventional of women, either.

yunho/boa ♡ : "Weddings make me nervous."
8 months prior to the wedding
It wasn't until they opened the wedding invitation together
Yunho realized Changmin was being serious.
When Changmin gathered his hyungs for his big announcement, they laughed.
A lot. ("How supportive." Changmin mused.)
Yunho thought it was one of his impulsive decisions
(like doing that bizarre variety show ages ago, for example)
and that he couldn't be serious.
"Changmin, marrying? I thought he would never!" Yunho said as he passed the invitation to Boa.
"Changmin would make a fine husband."
"Of course, of course. Except he's extremely allergic to any form of affection."
Boa laughed.
Yunho sighed.
"Tell me, what are you really thinking about?" Boa asked.
"Weddings make me nervous."
"Why?"
"They always take me back to that time I married you."
"Sentimental."
"Pabo."
"Stop it, the baby is going to hear you."

changmin/sooyoung ♡ : "Till death (or an empty refrigerator) do us part."
wedding day
Yunho stood by Changmin as he was wed to Choi Sooyoung.
Donghae was handing Jessica his handkerchief. ("The label clearly said waterproof!" Jessica reasoned.)
Yoochun whispered to his wife, "I never thought he had it in him." "He learned from the best." Sungmi answered as she playfully elbowed her husband.
Youngwoon, somewhere in the crowd, muttered, "I'll never get the fuss with weddings."
---
This wedding was wonderful. Some paparazzi swore they saw Jessica tearing up.
Their story was wonderful - crazy, but wonderful.
And like them, everyone in that venue had a story of their own.
"You may now kiss the bride." The pastor said as Changmin so willingly obliged.
As for this now married couple, they couldn't wait to get this over with
to get their hands on the food (and each other, of course).
