bermuda triangle theory

i was wondering what it would be like to disappear into the bermuda triangle. i was talking with michele about it and i started thinking... wouldn't it be so awesome to just live in another dimension. i wouldn't die though. i would just live my life, but in another dimension. then it came to me! what do you think happened to all those people who " ( Read more... )

in reality, there's more than three dimensions. if you take multivariable calculus and you're exposed to a little of this in integral calculus toward the latter part of it. In reality, you can have as many dimensions as you want, at least expressed down on paper. It's hard to imagine more than three dimensions in reality but in theory, you CAN have more than one dimension. Right now with the study of quarks and the other small little gizmos that make up atoms in what is called the "String Theory" there is this thougth that there are in fact Eleven dimensions. I'm no expert on the subject but it is addressed on Nova so you might catch it someday if it is rerun. :) happy thinking!

think of it like a loaf of bread, every slice is a dimension and it's not far apart from the other. They're all squeezed in together. So a few inches from you right now could be your other self in some other dimension doing who knows what, but you can't see em cause they're in the nth dimension.
