So last year (ha!) hermette was talking on twitter about a pretend dating fest, which I hijacked like an appropriate metaphor. Now the holidays are over I thought this would be a good time to host it! Without further ado:

I would love to see: banter, typical Gwaine flirtiness, stoic but smart Percy, heartache (not break, they ultimately should end up together. Gwercival is love), angst, consensual sex (tho it doesn't have to include this, kissing, feeeeels
I woud not like to see: nothing really
Anything else you want to add: Gwaine is known for his inability to have a long term relationship, but he told his family he has a boyfriend just to get them off his back. So he's in a pickle when he has to go home for some reason (family reunion?) and has to bring said boyfriend. Enter Percy. They've been friends for years, but Percy has always ignored Gwaine's incessant flirting. Gwaine doesn't realize that it's because Percy is deeply, painfully in love with Gwaine and doesn't want to settle for just a one-off. Gwaine manages to convince Percy to be his fake boyfriend for the family event. Things happen. Maybe Gwaine sees Percy flirting with someone else? Maybe he spends so much time

This is perfect. Absolutely perfect. I love the little side dish of Merthur you threw in, and I love Mummy as an OC. Of course, she knew, Gwaine! Mummy always knows!

I ADORE this image. "Percival teased, hugging Gwaine from behind." I can just picture taller Percival with his chin resting on Gwaine's shoulder.

AWWW, perfect ending is perfect! The kissed "love you," stole my heart, and both of them strong in their friendship, playful, but also finally acknowledging deep love. And all the ancillary characters were so wittily and sharply drawn. Gwaine's mum. AND MERLIN AND ARTHUR GET A HAPPY ENDING TOO!! This was so much fun from beginning to end, hilarious and sweet and hot. You're a genius.

These two are quickly moving up in the ranks of my OTPs. This was just so perfect! Mummy was a hoot! Gwaine was so bombastic! Percival was so strong/silent. It was spot-on! I've said this before, but it bears repeating: You definitely should be doing this as your vocation! You are THAT GOOD!
