Fic [Strength]
Sorry for clogging up f-lists with this XD This kinda just came to me it probably has something to do with rping Gin so much recently but it was fun to write :D

Summary: AU future fic. Gin reflects on how Izuru has grown stronger since he left.

I mean it Izuru even now as ya dodge Shinsou I’m not just havin’ fun I’m proud o’ ya. I kinda don’t wanna play with ya too much; not like this ne?
I can feel ya reiatsu shifting, ya tired. Ya’ve been keeping everyone alive ne? Guess ya remember the stuff from 4th division better than ya thought ya could. Ya always were doubting yerself but it seems like ya’ve stopped doing that now ne?
Mmm an’ I’m kinda surprised Rangiku didn’t come after me first but maybe ya more pissed wit’ me; I can’t really tell. Is it cos I didn’t say goodbye? It is ain’t it? I kinda didn’t wanna leave, Aizen-taichou left it so loooong, I was having fun with ya and Rangiku and none of them Espada liked me. Not like ma Izuru and Rangiku.
Why don’t ya wanna kill? Ya fighting, ya fighting really hard but ya really don’t wanna do it neither. Are ya distracted by Hinamori-chan, or Hisagi-kun? Or do ya really not wanna do it. Ya gonna have ta cos ya not gonna leave it to Rangiku are ya? Ya wouldn’t do that to her, would ya?
Yer a funny thing aren’t ya Izuru? What ya crying fer? I told ya ya had ta do it or did ya expect me ta fight harder? Were ya expecting me ta slip away again like I did on the Sougyoku Hill? Eh? Rangiku’s crying too, ya two are weird, I don’t get it.
Ya can explain it ta me next time ne Izuru?
The blonde captain of the third division steadily made his way up the hill; a tree just beginning to bear fruit his point of reference.
“Hello Matsumoto-san.” The captain greeted the busty vice-captain softly. She was sat on the wooden bench they’d set up nearly three years ago watching the slab of stone in front of her.
“Ah there you are Kira! How are you?” Matsumoto asked pulled from her thoughts by the blonde and his soft smile.
“I’m beginning to understand the annoyance of paperwork now that I really have to do all of it.” Matsumoto smiled at the memories that danced between them. “Still avoiding yours?” She looked at him in mock-shock.
“How can you say such a thing Kira?” Izuru just looked at her flatly and she caved a moment later. “I’ve been doing more; taichou’s been incredibly busy what with Hinamori-chan and everything.” She replied with a fake pout. The blonde nodded.
“A week from now, isn’t it? I’m glad Hinamori-kun is happy.” And he was, he may not have been the one able to snap Hinamori out of her guilt, that had fallen to Hitsugaya-taichou, but that was ok. She was happy and so was he; after all he had Shuuhei too.
“I should be off then. I need to go for a drink with Kyoraku-taichou.” The blonde smiled.
“Don’t drink too much. And please give Hitsugaya-taichou my regards in case I don’t see him before next week.” The 10th division vice-captain chuckled.
“I will.” Matsumoto nodded. “Good night Kira.”
”Good night Matsumoto-san.” He watched her until she was half way down the hill and then she disappeared in a flurry of shunpo. The blonde turned to the stone and drew a candle in a glass from his sleeve. He knelt down on the fresh earth and using a weak jolt of kidou lit the candle. Izuru stood up and plucked one of the more ripe-looking fruit from the tree and placed it beside the candle watching the light flicker over the name carved there. He drew back and sat on the bench resting forward on his knees. “I’m sorry it’s not dried Ichimaru-san.”
