I got distracted by changing the layout here on lj - I was tired of the default blue smooth sailing I was using, so here's a tweaked layout based on one at fruitstyle. I love the layouts they make there, and I didn't realize I've spent over an hour creating the banner and tweaking the colors. :|

Try their layouts! They're pretty simple to tweak, and if you have a banner you can pick and choose the colors using photoshop :D

Totes jealous. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to do rounded edges on graphics. >.< But the layout looks totally awesome. ♥ I love fruitstyle as well.

Well, the layout pretty much came with those rounded corners, so I only had trouble with making the banner suit the rest of the page. This is pretty much how I did rounded edges for the banner, and then I set the image type to png-24 with transparency on. Setting it to PNG-8 leaves white gritty edges around the picture. :(

Your current layout is actually very pretty! I usually go to fruitstyle and estiloamor for simple but pretty layouts. I also like passing by milkgloves but that was when she didn't have her layouts locked to the community.

Basically, when I see something pretty (icons, layouts, etc), I bookmark them for future reference when I want to go back and either a. just stare at how gorgeous it is b. learn how to make the same effect :)
