Tragically, out of that list I've only seen The Jesus and Mary Chain (terrific), Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds (not so good live) and Bowie (terrific).
The best live band performances I've seen have been by Australian bands that no-one would have heard of, like The Numbers. For some reason Australian bands are very very good at performing live. Oh, and The Church, I guess people outside of Australia my have heard of them.
I have heard of the Church, yes. I saw Nick Cave 2 years ago at Benicassim festival and I liked him quite a lot, but well, one of the highlight was Bowie, I have only seen him once, in Madrid, for the Earthling tour and the gig was sooo great
Although I've never seen The Cure live, I have seen Robert Smith live, during his brief stint with Siouxsie and the Banshees. That was possibly the greatest live gig I've ever seen. And Siouxsie is definitely the most exciting live performer I've seen.
