Whoever decided Amy Winehouse was fit (physically, mentally or musically) to go on stage at the Mandela concert tonight was being unnecessarily cruel to the poor woman. Her eyes are like cash registers ringing up "No Sale", she can't hold a tune, and she looks painfully, scarily ill. She needs to be in hospital, away from bad influences, recovering

Seconded - although my patience with the woman is wearing very thin, talent or no talent. I thought that this concert and Glasto would be cringeworthy disasters. But the record company knows that any headlines are good news for them; and another 'rock casualty' would really boost sales...It's all very sad and predictable - particularly when one considers that that talentless twat Mr Doherty will no doubt be drawing his pension and playing the part of pub bore to perfection some years hence.

I thought she was pretty damned good tbh - then again I only saw the last half-hour or so of the whole thing due to it being on chav-channel 1.

I'm actually watching it now - I think she looks OK, given her history.

But that woman is on a trail of self-destruction that I don't believe anyone can stop. Such a waste of a huge talent.
