...Queen on stage at the Mandela 90th birthday gig.

Sun City, lads? Yeah, that was conveniently forgotten.

Does Nelson Mandela actually *like* the Sugababes, Amy Wino and Queen without Freddie? I get the feeling he's more likely one of the TOGs, but who can tell; for all I know he owns more Magma bootlegs than Steve Davis.

Come to think of it does anyone actually like Razorlight?

Um, I thought that the boycotts ended some time after apartheid did. Or am I missing something?

No you aren't and the Sun City thing was part of the drive to put some international cash back into post-apartheid SA.

Come on Mr Condition - do keep up! ;-)

1984 was hardly post-apartheid!

Ah, my apologies. I've just read the article on 'the Sins Of St Freddie' and now have my years firmly back in order!

Surely you know that Queen playing Sun City was a direct cause of the end of apartheid, the release of Mandela, peace and harmony in South Africa, the Rugby World Cup, and probably everything else too?

Of course he likes the Sugababes, though he may not like their 'music'...

That's not Queen - it's a pale imitation. I like Paul Rogers, but he's no Freddie ...
